Hello!

I think I forgot to tell you all some reasons I'm MIA. I signed up for not one, but two writing classes in August. And I signed up for the 70 Days of Sweat Challenge here: http://www.alisonkent.com/blog/?p=2089

I'm working on two original fics, one a novel, one a novella, both Science Fiction with Romance--whether or not there's enough romance to be considered "Romance" or just "romantic" I don't know.

Anyhoo, I'm up to 11,584 words and have 53 days left, including today, and so need to get off my procrastinating, busy duff and write nearly 7 pages a day--including today since I've only written this email. Ack!

I'm looking for a tracker to post here and will upload my personal trainer's pic later when I'm not so busy.

Goal: 100,000 words by midnight September 20, 2007.

Currently: 11,584

Hi,

All righty, thanks to the impending blizzard and buckets of rain we're getting, I'm in the mood for a semi-darkfic. I'll give some parameters and you all can whip out a quick ficlet, doesn't have to be a novel, but that's good too. :-) Any rating, but I prefer R to NC-17. Hey, I'm a grown up.

Preferred pairings and fandoms, pick one. ;-)

SGA: John/Teyla

Torchwood: Jack/Gwen

Dr. Who: Doctor 9 or 10/Rose or OC.

Farscape: John/Aeryn

Thoughtcrimes movie: Brendan/Freya

Plot points:

A woman, not the paired woman, has obsessive, subtlely unbalanced lust for the male (you may make one of the regular characters snap or write an OC). They kidnap him with the idea of what? Seducing him? Getting pregnant? That he'd love them if he were alone with them? You choose the motivation and her goal.

The female half of the pairing MUST save him all on her own, using her brain and resourcefullness.

Don't want:

Graphic rape, rape with objects, pedophilia, golden showers etc., Nothing too gross, okay? No nails through body parts, etc.

Okay:

Mild torture, whump, angst, blood, being beaten, shot, tied, drugged, mild alcohol, sex, cussing, mind control, mental games, etc. I like the mental games best. I'd like to read something tense and fast and dangerous and a bit scary, something where you think the person's okay but they're secretly nuts and much more dangerous than they seem. Something with undercurrents of sex and anguish and guilt.

Is that too much to ask of a poor little ficlet? I hope not.
